Here at Rock Shrimp Productions, it is broken up into the corporate team and the production team. I have spent a majority of my time in the office, but yesterday I was finally able to go on set and see what filming a live TV show (Beat Bobby Flay) is really all about.
On set I took on the role of a PA (Production Assistant); this virtually means that I do the ins an outs throughout the day in order to make everyone else involved lives' easier. From carrying pieces of the set to different places to "stocking" the guest stars trailer I had a plethora of responsibilities whilst on set. It was a very cool experience and definitely gave me good insight into the life of a PA.
Back in the office I have become more entrenched in the marketing side of Rock Shrimp Productions. This includes, but is not limited to, trying to find prospective clients who want to use our resources here at Rock Shrimp. I have went on runs delivering good (delicious looking chocolates) to prospective clients.
I have also been placed in charge of trying to update the Rock Shrimp Productions Facebook page as well as the LinkIn profile. Both of these resources are vital for trying to get our name out their for prospective clients. Oh yeah, I also learned how to use a laminating machine!
It sounds like you are having a fun and busy day on set. I really envy that part that you are able to learn more about the marketing side of your company. That is something I hope to be involved with in the company I am a part of for my internship.
