CEO for a Day (prompt 6)

and so the summer comes to a close

If I was in charge, the first thing I would do would be to order everyone in the lab some fun Smithsonian logo or entomology decorated sweatpants and sweatshirts. This is because the office was always very cold, I assume to help preserve the insect collection. I think it would be pretty cool if everyone had matching gear to keep from freezing.
Something else I would change, an idea we jokingly discussed at work, would be to bring some walkie talkies into the lab. The way the floor is structured is with all of the insect storage cabinets in the center, with the offices on the edges of the floor around the cabinets. This makes it a bit difficult to move around between rooms either to get supplies or ask questions. Walkie talkies would allow for easier communication between rooms but would also be super fun.
These ideas are of course only meant to be silly. In reality I would change absolutely nothing. I have enjoyed every minute of my internship this summer and I am so grateful for the opportunity. I learned so much but I also had so much fun. The group of people I got to work for/with are all wonderful people that I will greatly miss. I will also miss getting to go to such a remarkable museum every single weekday.
