Blog 4: Half Way Point

 It is crazy to think how fast time passes and I am already to half way point of my summer and internship. It has been a crazy few weeks with our boss out of town traveling and with tons of events. Events like The ESPY awards, Spartan death races and new products that our company has recently started endorsing. One of the biggest things I have learned over the past few weeks is learning to get out and network. There are tons of mixers and events in southern California with opportunities to collect tons of business cards. Unfortunately with my work schedule I have not been able to attend as many as I would like but something is better than nothing. There are so many opportunities out there and I really am trying to push myself to take advantage of them all. Also I am currently on the hunt to find an event, conference or expo that I am interested in attending so I can write a business proposal to my boss. Our boss is willing to sponsor us to attend something that strikes our interest. I am starting to really connect with a lot of the interns as people have been weeding themselves out. I am really excited to get back to school for my final year at Michigan but I am also really excited to get out and build a career for myself!
